Garden Park Ward Engagement Session

I’ve known Sandra and Jared separately for almost 8 and 10 years. And now they are together and my heart just about EXPLODES with happiness that they found each other, even though they were right under each other’s noses for years before they paid attention. Let me have Sandra tell you their story in her own words:

Getting to Know You

“We’ve lived a few streets away from each other for ten years and became friends 3 years ago. For the last three years we’ve been good friends. We’ve travelled, we’ve played and Jared has fixed all sorts of things in my house. In November of last year we were in NYC with some friends and something clicked. We started dating in December and haven’t been apart since. We love to play music, Jared on the banjo and I the ukulele. This was one of the things that brought us together 3 years ago and something we love to do still.

“Jared proposed at the place of our first date (or the place that we went together and didn’t invite the “group” of friends) it was perfect weather, we had a view of the whole valley and he said lots of nice things.”

OK, so there you have their version of it. They kept their dating on the down-low for months… or at least, it seemed like it to me even though I follow Sandra on Instagram, I had no idea that they were dating until I got a text message from Sandra out of the blue in April. Let’s read the conversation as it went down:

S: Hey Lady! It’s Sandra. Wanted to check your photography calendar for August 17th?

Me: Open… what do you need??

S: Well if you can keep a secret, because it’s not public yet, I need a wedding photographer!! 🙂

Me: OH MY HECK!!! *hearts and crying emoji Oh Sandra! I am so, so, so, so happy for you!! YEEESSSSS!!! Please pick me!! (Also, uh… who is the lucky guy??)

Then she sent me a picture of the two of them together and I legitimately started screaming.

Anyway, I love them. And I love them so much more together.
