*This engagement session in Neff’s Canyon (Salt Lake City, Utah) happened in May of 2016. I know it is over a year and a half of later. But at the end of 2016 (before I could get to updating my website after a busy wedding season) I was hired as an associate photographer for another photographer here in Utah – so I stopped doing any updates, because everything got pushed to my associate page on a new website. But now I’m back doing my business again and I am so excited to work with Whitney Hunt Brides again! So I’m updating my website with things from 2016. Because I love all of my brides and their pictures are all beautiful and they make me happy and it helps my website. So here we are. The end.*
Every time I get to photograph a couple with their dogs, in my head I always think it’s going to go so much differently. But dogs are dogs and they like to do their own thing and they don’t know what a camera is – so they don’t really look at it. And then I end up calling their names and instead of just looking at me like a cute pooch, they get up from the spot that we worked so hard to get them into and come straight for me. I’ve learned to just treat them like toddlers and we just go with whatever we get. And I always end up loving it so much. This session was nothing different so here are just a couple of my favorite images from this hour that we spent together. Also, just for your information and because it makes me laugh at how “traditional” they are, the dogs’ names are Jenny and Roy.
Hanna and Adam got married at Alta Lodge in Little Cottonwood Canyon in July of 2016. Alta Lodge is one of my all time FAVORITE venues for a wedding! It makes me so incredibly happy to “work” at a wedding up there. Because it rarely feels like work. Make sure to check out their wedding post (coming soon).
