Brighton Ski Resort Wedding Inspiration – Silver Lake

This past week I had planned an inspiration shoot at Silver Lake at the Brighton Ski Resort.  We had a cake, models (friends of mine that I begged to play dress up for me) and an absolutely AMAZING dress on loan from Gateway Bridal.  Well, it didn’t work out the way I had hoped.  We got rained out and lost all of the sunlight before we had a chance to get photos of the dress.  I came home pretty discouraged and more than a little disappointed.  But here I am, sharing the very small handful of photos that turned out.

(You may notice that the “groom” seems to be the star of this post.  And that’s because I took photos of him while the “bride” was having her hair and makeup done… and then the rain came down about 5 minutes after she got into the dress.)

This was the last photo that I got at the lake. Ha!

Once the rain started, we decide to try to chase the daylight and beat the rain down the canyon.  Well, the sun was already set when we made it away from the rain.  So… we got a photo.  And then gave up.

I may attempt this inspiration shoot again.  We’ll see…
