Another Saltair Engagement Session | Abi + Preston

OK you guys, here I come with another Saltair engagement session. This time with Abi and Preston and a little bit of wind. It had snowed the day before we did their pictures and I was so afraid that the beach was going to be a soggy mess… and while it was a little soggy, we found enough dry parts to work with. The extra water from the snow melting also made everything extra shiny and bright and you’d never guess these pictures were taken in February in Utah. I love that about Saltair.

How They Met

I love learning about my couples and I asked Abi to tell me how she and Preston met, and how he proposed. Sometimes I get several paragraphs back from potential brides and sometimes I get a few lines. Which in turn tells me about them as a bride, haha. Abi was the minimum amount of information possible via email. (Which funnily enough translates to the most low maintenance bride ever that always trusts my judgement – which in turn lets me turn on more of the “artist” side of myself when working together.)

Abi said: “We went to the same Junior high and High School and we had mutual friends. When he got back from his mission in March 2020 I was still close friends with some of his buddies and they set us up!”

“He didn’t do anything fancy to propose we just went on a little walk up Provo Canyon and he proposed!”

Let’s stop wasting time with words and get to those bright and shiny pictures that I was talking about!

Time for a quick outfit change on the beach – because that’s just what you do – in case you didn’t know. You pack a bag with your clothes and lay them on top of your coat, because it’s really only 40° and you need your coat between shots.

You also snuggle a lot when it’s cold outside.
