This isn’t normal for me to be sharing, but my oldest daughter (I have two) recently turned 8 and we took some time to document the occasion. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the 8th birthday is a big deal. Katie wants to be baptized and will be tomorrow. My mom heart can’t really process the emotions. I know everything is going to be overwhelming for me. I just can’t believe that I have a kid old enough for this moment, haha.

We went over to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple (because it’s a whopping 4 minutes away from our house). And she loved the fact that I let her wear mascara and a lip stain. I’m a sucker for showing off the awkward parts of kids growing up, so my heart especially loves the pictures that show her crazy adult teeth growing in.
