The Provo City Center Temple is already a popular temple for weddings, but I have a feeling that in the next 4 years it will be even more popular with brides (when the Salt Lake Temple is closed for major renovations). But now it’s time to meet Sarah and Taylor.
About the Couple:
“Taylor and I met on a Sunday morning right after I moved to Salt Lake. I had just barely missed the train to go to church and I heard a guy say “hey, need a ride?” and I of course didn’t react or look at his car in case it was a creep. But he drove around and I kind of recognized him from my ward once he asked again. I accepted the ride and the rest is history. Taylor and I literally finish (and sometimes start) each other’s sentences. We share the same goofy sense of humor. We love watching movies and binge-watching shows. He’s my best friend in the whole world and I’m so freaking excited to marry him.”
How He Asked:
“Taylor did a good job surprising me when he proposed. We had discussed getting engaged/married/even started planning and I was beginning to get impatient. I remember asking him one night if he had gotten the ring yet or talked to my parents and he was like “… uh I should get on that.” So I assumed it’d be a little while longer. Then, the next day we had plans to go to Wendy’s for dinner (my favorite) but he said “let’s make it special. Wear a dress.” I was confused because he had just told me he didn’t have the ring yet but I did and after driving to Wendy’s and the Pie Pizzeria (where we went on our first date) I was even more thoroughly confused. Finally we arrived at The Roof restaurant at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. When we got to our table, there was a bouquet with a note that said “What if I were to propose right now?” and by the time I looked up, he was already on one knee!”
