Salt Lake Temple Bridal Session | Lexi + Joey

Lexi and Joey. These two are SO much fun! I loved getting to know them before their big day and walking all around the Temple grounds (which are in full bloom, by the way) with them. Lexi’s parents came as well and her mom and I really hit it off when I unknowingly recommended The Nauvoo Cafe to them as they were walking by me in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

About the Couple

I asked Lexi to tell me how she and Joey met. And also to tell me what they loved to do together. Here is what she had to say: “We met in 2017 at a minute to win it game night that he organized. Later that evening we talked for about an hour and really started hitting it off. He later told me that after that night he searched for me at church and could never find me (knowing we were both in the same church). After one more week of no luck in his search he decided to ask me out over instant message. We went out a week later and played flaming golf and went to a volleyball game. We’ve spent about every day together since. The first date was perfect because we both enjoy sports. Throughout our days together we discovered we are both Disney fanatics, love animals, and love the sunshine! I feel we truly compliment each other because we both enjoy the same things including the same music. We love to be weird around each other and know there is no judging.”

How He Asked

“I went to California with my cheer team that I coach and we went to Disneyland for three days and competed at the National Competition. The last day we were in California his mom surprised me at the hotel before I went back to Utah. She picked me up and drove me to Joey’s hometown beach (Salt Creek) and dropped me off. I was left to follow a trail of rose petals that led me to a bouquet. He then came from behind and proposed to me on the point of the beach! IT WAS A DREAM!”
