Jessica is such an incredibly talented cake maker! Her business name is Lustr and even though you might think she is newer on the scene, she really isn’t. She’s been in the wedding and food service world for quite a while. A manager at Ruby Snap Cookies and a design intern for Rachael Ellen Events. And now a truly gifted cake artist!

Jessica and I met through an editorial shoot that was designed and planned by Rachael Ellen Events. Jessica made the cake and was even a hand model in a few shots. (You can see the shoot that she was part of right HERE.)

She reached out about photographing a couple of her cakes back in January and I jumped at the chance! Branding photography is something that I really had been wanting to branch out into for the “slower” seasons of weddings.

And now here we are. This was our first shoot together and you will soon see another shoot featured on this blog with more of her artistry.

For my first branding session ever, I’m incredibly proud of how this went down! We got a lot of content for her to use on her social media, and a lot of variety, without a lot of “props”. Get excited to see more of these types of sessions!
