I am so excited to be sharing this engagement session with you. Not just because I think that greenhouses are one of the very best locations for pictures (especially at the end of a very blah and boring winter), but because this engagement session stars my husband’s baby sister and her soon-to-be husband. We got to watch their story unfold and all of the drama surrounding it (because there was drama in the beginning… owing to the guy she was dating before Tyler… but we will just gloss over that). I made Maddie write down how they met and this is what she told me:
The Roommate
“We meet first from me dating his old roommate. Maybe not the most romantic way but I will forever be grateful for meeting Tyler last year. After I broke up with his roommate I can remember calling my mom and telling her, “Too bad his cute roommate will never ask me out.” After that me and Tyler couldn’t seem to stop running into one another on campus (BYU) or at random events. He saw me at his friend’s concert over the summer again and thought to himself, “Why haven’t I asked her out yet??” We clicked from the first date we went on. I can remember how nervous and excited I was to go on that date with him. He won me over with his family’s boxer puppies and his cute smile. After that first date he didn’t waste a minute. And asked me almost immediately for the next week. Then hanging out with me before the second date. One of our favorite things is to drive up to Salt Lake City together, go out to eat at a some small family restaurant and then walk around the city together exploring shops and free attractions. Then we always end the date with gelato at Harmons.”
Let’s get to their pictures now, shall we? Bracelets: Lillian and Co. Venue: Cooks Farm and Greenhouse
