You will be seeing more of these two on my blog in 2021, but for now, how about a teaser? Jess + Sam will be getting married this summer in Alta, Utah and we will be doing another portrait session before that… but I just can’t wait until the end of the summer to share these two and their session at the Utah State Capitol with you.

Utah State Capitol Engagement Session

Jess and I have been talking about her wedding for a very long time – she and Sam were supposed to be married in July of 2020… but we all know what happened last year, and they made the decision to postpone their wedding a year.

We were able to meet in person this year (the couple lives in Oregon) – under less than ideal circumstances that I don’t need to share the details of here… but we did get to meet and in meeting and hugging, I asked if they would be willing to do pictures with me in the cold – February isn’t normally a month you choose for engagement pictures. They said they would so we chose one of my favorite spots in Salt Lake City for their session. The Utah State Capitol. It looks good at any time of year and what makes this even better is that we even got to include their sweet Chihuahua Frances.

Now I’m going to throw you another curveball and I am only going to share the black and white pictures from their session. Just to mix things up.

Gotta keep it fresh – or so I’m told.
