Let me introduce you, again, to the most wonderful couple: Lloyd and Tim, as I set the stage for their intimate French chateau wedding. From the moment I met them, it felt like we were long-lost best friends. Our journey together began with a fantastic engagement session in the heart of the Big Apple, setting the stage for the epic adventure that was to come. However, today we’re here to dive into the enchanting story of their wedding day in France—a day that can only be described as pure MAGIC. Beaming smiles, overflowing happiness, and an intimate gathering of their closest loved ones, all enveloped in an aura of love and support. Even though the May weather decided to surprise us with unseasonable warmth (read: HOT and HUMID), you can’t tell from their radiant photos.

Now, close your eyes (well, not literally, because I need you to keep reading), and envision the absolutely perfect venue for this wedding: Chateau la Gauterie. Picture rolling French countryside bathed in golden sunlight, a scene so serene it tugs at your heartstrings. This hidden oasis provided the perfect backdrop for Lloyd and Tim’s intimate wedding, offering a sense of seclusion while remaining just a stone’s throw away from the beauty and culture of Bordeaux and maybe two-stones from Paris.

Let me assure you that Chateau La Gauterie is the quintessential location for your dreamy, intimate French chateau wedding. And here’s the icing on the cake: you and your nearest and dearest can stay together on the property! Imagine lazy days by the pool, enchanting evenings on the patio with local wines flowing (because who can resist French wine country?!). It doesn’t get much better than warm summer nights like these. From the rehearsal dinner through to the farewell brunch, every moment was a dream.

Intentional and Romantic Details

Now, let’s delve into the details—the magical fusion of French blue and sage green, creating the dreamiest color palette you can imagine. Die-cut menus elegantly wrapped with green silk ribbons, textured linens that invite you to run your fingers over them, and vintage taper holders that whisper tales of antique hunting adventures in Paris. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, with romance and intention at the forefront. And the chateau itself? It was nothing short of a supermodel, flaunting its beauty from every angle – each day of the weekend.

Lloyd and Tim also gave me free creative license and I experimented with new film cameras during their weekend. My personal favorite being a small, wide angled toy camera loaded with black and white film.
