If you’ve visited my website/blog in the past year, then you’ve definitely seen Mackenzie and Blake before. And if you’re new here, I’ll just help to improve your life by linking their engagement session HERE. You can see their First Look session HERE. And just for fun… you can see more of their formal session over on Utah Valley Bride’s website right HERE.
I was so excited to see them again for an anniversary session! Anniversary sessions with my previous couples make me SO HAPPY! LOTS OF EXCLAMATION POINTS AND CAPITAL LETTERS KIND OF HAPPY!
All About It
We met at the Jordan River Parkway trail in Riverton. One of my very favorite “secret” spots for pictures. November can be dicey with the weather, but we had lots of bright, warm sunshine! My favorite part of seeing and photographing and talking with Mackenzie and Blake again was when I asked about their wedding (I was out of the country when they got married, so they had another photographer capture the day for them) and Mackenzie gave me the best compliment ever. She said that their other photographer was good, but that I would always be their photographer for the rest of their lives. *cue the sobbing-face emoji* Mackenzie told me that I was a lot more personable and fun, and that is one of my biggest goals as a photographer. No one wants a stuffy, stiff or quiet person as their photographer. (Well actually, I’m sure that there are plenty of people that want a photographer like that… but those type of couples aren’t MY type of couples.)
STOP TALKING WHITNEY AND GET TO THE PHOTOS. (Side note: blogging at the end of the year brings out a different “voice” from me than from blog posts that I write in the middle of the year. I’ll apologize for the hyper-ness of this post… but then again, I’ll bet that no one is even really reading this.)
