Park City Wedding Weekend Vibes with Mountain Views, Meaningful Toasts, and a Warm Utah Sunset at the Perfect Park City Rehearsal Dinner Venue
The evening before Lindsay + Garrett’s wedding day was exactly what a rehearsal dinner and welcome party should be: intentional, relaxed, and full of the kind of connection you can only get when all your favorite people are gathered together in one place. (And I’ll say this a few times in this post, but I just need you to know that the Montage is probably the most perfect venue in Park City for your wedding and for your rehearsal dinner/welcome party.)

Hosted on the Vista Terrace at Montage Deer Valley, this evening was the perfect start to their wedding weekend. With white florals, heartfelt toasts, and panoramic mountain views, it set the tone for everything to follow. And honestly, this really is just the perfect rehearsal dinner venue in Park City.
As a Park City wedding photographer, I love when couples include coverage of their rehearsal dinner — it’s often where the most personal, unfiltered moments happen, and this one was full of them.
An Intimate Dinner with Family
The rehearsal dinner itself was designed by Kate Elizabeth Events to be simple and elegant. Two long tables were set for the couple’s family and closest friends, with white linens, white florals, and minimal décor to keep the focus on connection and conversation. The vibe was elevated but totally unfussy — exactly what a mountain evening calls for.

As dinner began, both of the groom’s parents gave personal toasts, sharing stories, memories, and the kind of emotion that can only come from a lifetime of love. It was one of those moments where you could feel the room leaning in — and it was such a gift to witness and photograph.

A Warm Welcome for Out-of-Town Guests
After dinner, the energy shifted into welcome party mode. More guests arrived — many of whom had traveled from all over the country — and gathered around hightops for cocktails on the same patio. There was an easy flow between the seated dinner and the more casual mingling that followed, with everyone wrapped in that unmistakable mountain sunset glow.
The setting? Absolutely perfect. The views from Montage stretch for miles, and as the sun dipped lower, the entire patio lit up in warm golds and pinks. It was one of those classic summer Utah evenings in the mountains that feels almost unreal in its beauty.

Sunset Portraits Before the Party
Before dinner began, we made time for portraits of just the bride and groom. That golden hour light, the quiet before the festivities, the anticipation — it was such a special pocket of calm in the weekend. And trust me: the light at Montage just hits different.
Photographer Tip: If you’re hosting a rehearsal dinner in Park City, plan to slip away for 20–30 minutes of portraits before guests arrive. The light is incredible, and it gives you a moment together before stepping into the energy of the evening.

Why Rehearsal Dinners Deserve to Be Documented
Rehearsal dinners and welcome parties are often where the most intimate, emotional storytelling happens. There’s no timeline to rush through, no formal structure — just people sharing real moments, in a beautiful place, with room to breathe. These are the photos couples tell me they didn’t expect to love so much… and end up treasuring the most.
